Bajaj bike sales surge 68 percent in Jun 2010
Mumbai, Jul 2: Bajaj Auto has reported that the sales of bikes has gone up by 68.39 percent with total sales of 299,442 units in June 2010, compared to 185,341 vehicles it sold in June 2009.
"Total motorcycle sales rose up to 62 percent, while scooter sales were at 648. Motorcycle brands like Pulsar, Discover were on high demand," Bajaj Auto Ltd said in a statement.
Three wheeler sales stood at 29,954 units, a rise of 52 percent from the 185,341 units.
The company has set a target of increasing motorcycle sales by 50 percent in 2010-11 with average sales of 300,000 motorbikes every month starting May 2011.
