Brinda Karat accuses Trinamool Congress of providing support to Maoists
Patna, Apr 9 (ANI): Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) leader Brinda Karat on Friday accused the Trinamool Congress of providing assistance to the Maoists.
Addressing a news conference in Patna, Karat said the party has lost many of its workers to the rebel menace.
"In West Bengal with the support of Trinamool Congress, the rebels harass and killed more than 100 of our poor and backward party workers," Karat said.
Both the CPI-M and the Trinamool Congress have earlier also accused each other of having a truck with the rebels.
Seventy-five Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were killed by the Maoists in an ambush in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada District on Tuesday, which is considered to be the most brutal attack ever by the rebels. (ANI)
