ED likely to arrest Koda under PMLA
New Delhi, Jan 6: Former Jharkhand chief minister Madhu Koda is likely to be arrested by the Enforcement Directorate under Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
Koda is currently in judicial custody till Jan 19 in connection with a disproportionate assets case
According to officials sources, ED has already asked court permission to question Koda in Birsa Munda Central Jail, Ranchi.
The ED is waiting for Koda to come back to the jail from a hospital in Ranchi.
They said once a statement is taken, Koda is likely to be arrested in connection with the alleged multi-crore illegal investment and hawala network of his and his associates.
