Several Bihar villages face flood-like situation
Patna, Sep 10(ANI): Several villages in Bihar are facing a flood-like situation as rising river waters continue to enter through damaged embankments.
Villages coming under the Dhanrua subdivision of Patna are particularly affected, with water levels of the Dharda and Karrua rising sharply.
Bihar's Minister for Disaster Management Devesh Chandra Thakur said the state government is well prepared and is monitoring the flood situation regularly.
"It has been raining hard from the past few days. In a way it is a good sign as we thought drought might affect the district. We welcome this heavy rainfall, there is no need to panic," Thakur said. (ANI)
