Naxals kill one policeman; injure five in Chhattisgarh
Raipur (Chhattisgarh), Apr.7 (ANI): Naxals have killed a policeman and injured five others in a land mine blast in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district.
Reports said they attacked the convoy of Superintendent of Police Ankit Garg as it was passing through the Bijapur Valley, about five kilometres from the district headquarters.
Nand Kishore Sori, a policeman who was part of Garg's security detail, died on the spot while five others were injured seriously. Vehicles in the convoy were also damaged.
The injured policemen have been airlifted to a hospital in Jagdalpur District for treatment, sources here said.
Garg was not hurt in the attack. (ANI)
