Rahul Gandhi wants more youth in Parliament
Ramgarh (Jharkhand), Apr 2 (ANI): Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has said he would work towards giving more representation to youth in the party and parliament.
"We have been trying to see more and more youth reach the Lok Sabha from these elections. I am glad that many youngsters are contesting polls this time. I will try to let more youngsters to contest on behalf of the Congress party," he said in an election meeting here on Wednesday.
Rahul lashed out at the previous NDA Government-led by the BJP for alleging that the Congress party was soft on dealing with terrorism.
"The opposition forgets that when the NDA Government was in power, the terrorists stormed the Parliament. They killed people inside the Parliament. An Indian Airlines plane was taken to Afghanistan and the NDA Government sent itsinister to Kandahar. They were brought to their knees by the terrorists and were compelled to release prisoners. Such an act would have never been performed by the UPA-Congress party," he said.
