Agartala to run in marathon today

Agartala, Mar 1 (ANI): The Tripura Players Welfare Association (TPWA) will organize the third Aircel Agartala marathon today with the motto- Run for State, Run for Unity.

Olympian archer Limba Ram will flag off the race from Umakanta Maidan.

The marathon is expected to witness over 3000 participants from different parts of the country.

"The event had generated a huge interest during the last two years. This year also, we have decided to make it an open race so that noted long distance runners from other parts of the country can take part," one of the organizers said.

There would also be a fun run category with a shorter distance, in which a number of local celebrities would participate. (ANI)
