Zydus Cadila buys out JV stake in Zydus Animal Health Ltd

Kolkata, May 16(UNI) Zydus Cadila, a leading pharma company, will acquire 50 per cent holding in Sarabhai Zydus Animal Health Ltd, which will make it a 100 per cent subsidiary company of the group.

A company release said here today that the company had entered into a share purchase agreement with Ambalal Sarabhai Enterprises to acquire the 50 per cent holding of Sarabhai Zydus Animal Health.

Sarabhai Zydus Animal Health Ltd, from its inception in 2000, was among the leading animal healthcare companies in India.

The company markets a wide range of therapies and has a strong presence in the livestock, poultry and animal business and marketing network.

The company also has alliances with Abic, a Teva group company and Lillydale of the U.K. Sarabhai Zydus Animal Health Ltd., posted a turnover of Rs. 88.87 crores in 2006-07.
