Om Prakash Singh is new BJP legislature Party leader in UP

Lucknow, May 16 (UNI) Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Om Prakash Singh has been elected leader of the legislature party in the Uttar Pradesh assembly.

Mr Singh, former UP BJP President, was unanimously elected in the meeting of the BJP legislature party here today.

The MLA from Chunar, succeeds Mr Lalji Tandon, who was the party leader in the 14 th assembly, and even became the Leader of the Opposition during the tenure of the Mulayam Singh Yadav government.
