Gati to co-brand air cargo services with Indian Airlines

New Delhi, May 16 (UNI) Logistics company Gati Ltd today said it will lease five B737-200 freighter aircraft from Indian Airlines for five years to run co-branded air cargo and courier services with the state-run carrier.

Gati will wet lease the aircraft from Indian Airlines -- whereby Indian Airlines will provide aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance, a company statement said.

The induction schedule for these aircraft is to begin in July.

Both, the company and Indian Airlines shall jointly do branding, advertisement and launch related activities.

The leased aircraft will have a valid certificate of airworthiness to be issued by the Department of Civil Aviation for carrying out transportation of cargo freighters.
