No Class, Paan-Gutka–Stained Wall Photoshoot: Fans Slam BCCI For Disrespecting Ayush Badoni’s National Call-Up
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has come under criticism after a photo of cricketer Ayush Badoni posing with the India jersey went viral on social media.\

Fans expressed disappointment over the poorly maintained background used in the photoshoot, calling it untidy and disrespectful.
The image showed the 26-year-old standing in front of a stained and cluttered backdrop. Many users questioned why such an important moment in a player's career was handled in a rushed and careless manner.
Several fans said the BCCI should ensure better arrangements when announcing a player's selection.
Badoni Replaces Washington Sundar in ODI Squad
Ayush Badoni was added to the Indian squad as a replacement for Washington Sundar in the ongoing ODI series against New Zealand.
Sundar was ruled out of the remaining matches after suffering a rib injury, prompting the team management to bring in Badoni.
Soon after his inclusion, the photo of Badoni wearing the India jersey began circulating online. While it is not clear whether the picture was taken by an official BCCI photographer, fans were unhappy with the lack of professionalism in the setup.
Fans Demand Better Presentation for Players
Social media users strongly criticised the poor background and urged the cricket board to treat such occasions with more care. Many felt that earning an India call-up is a proud moment for any player and should be marked with dignity and proper presentation.
The backlash was directed at what fans described as a hurried approach, especially for a player receiving his first national team opportunity.
Badoni Yet to Make ODI Debut
Ayush Badoni joined the Indian team in Rajkot during the second ODI against New Zealand but did not feature in the playing eleven. Nitish Reddy replaced Washington Sundar in the match at the Niranjan Shah Stadium.
The ODI series is currently tied at 1-1. New Zealand levelled the series after chasing down the target with ease, thanks to a strong partnership between Will Young and Daryl Mitchell, who guided the visitors to a seven-wicket victory.
Badoni is yet to make his ODI debut, but fans will be keen to see him get an opportunity in the remaining match of the series.
