In a happy development for one of Maharashtra's foremost political families, Revathi Sule, the daughter of NCP (SP) working president and Lok Sabha MP Supriya Sule, is engaged to Sarang Lakhanee, son of Nagpur-based industrialist Arun Lakhani.

The news was warmly confirmed by her brother, Vijay Sule, who posted a congratulatory message for his sister and soon-to-be brother-in-law on social media.

Who is Revathi Sule?

Revathi Sule, born and raised in Baramati, is the granddaughter of veteran politician Sharad Pawar. Maintaining a relatively low profile, the 27-year-old is an academically accomplished individual.

She holds a BA in Economics from Mumbai's St. Xavier's College and a Master's in Public Administration from the prestigious London School of Economics. While she has largely stayed away from the political limelight, she actively supported her mother during the recent Baramati Lok Sabha campaign. Revathi is the only daughter of Supriya Sule and Sadanand Sule, and sister to Vijay Sule.

Who is her husband-to-be, Sarang Lakhanee?

Sarang Arun Lakhanee is the son of businessman Arun Lakhani, Chairman of the Vishvaraj Group based in Nagpur. An alumnus of Columbia Business School with an MBA, and with executive education from IIM Bangalore, Sarang currently serves as the Executive Director at the family-led Vishvaraj Group. The conglomerate has significant interests in water infrastructure, real estate, and construction. Sarang is also a known badminton enthusiast.

The 85-year-old leader was admitted to Pune's Ruby Hall Clinic on Monday evening due to chest congestion. The hospital has stated that he is responding well to treatment, his vital parameters are normal, and the initial discomfort has subsided. As a precaution, he remains under observation. Dr. Simon Grant from the clinic confirmed that Pawar is stable and his clinical condition is steadily improving under supervised care.
