As per the exchange, settlements scheduled for January 15 will not be completed on the same day due to the elections. The T+0 settlement facility for select shares will also be unavailable. While investors can trade as usual in the equity segment, money and securities transfers will be deferred to the next working day.

The notification further states that January 15 will be treated as a trading holiday for the debt and currency segments. This means there will be no trading in bonds or currency derivatives on that day, even as the equity segment remains operational. Market participants dealing in fixed income and currency markets are advised to plan transactions accordingly.
