According to DownDetector, more than 320,000 users in the US alone logged complaints about the service disruption, making it one of the most reported outages for the platform in recent months.

Users reported issues with loading the homepage, searching for videos and accessing recommendations. The glitch appeared to affect both the mobile app and desktop version of the platform.

The disruption was not limited to the main video platform. YouTube TV also experienced service problems, with nearly 10,000 users reporting outages on DownDetector.
