Missile Strike in Abu Dhabi Leaves One Dead

Officials reported that an Iranian missile landed on a civilian vehicle in the Al Bahyah district of Abu Dhabi, resulting in the death of one person.

The victim has been identified as a Palestinian national. Emergency responders rushed to the location after receiving reports of the strike and secured the area.

Authorities have not released further details about the circumstances of the attack but confirmed that investigations are underway.

The incident caused a fire, but Dubai Civil Defence teams quickly contained the blaze. Authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported in this case.

Flight Operations Temporarily Suspended

Due to the incident near the airport, Emirates airline flights were temporarily suspended for safety reasons.
Airport operations resumed later in the morning, with limited services restarting around 10 a.m. UAE time.

However, several flights were cancelled or delayed as authorities worked to restore normal operations.

Some Flights Diverted to Another Airport

During the disruption, a number of flights were redirected to Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC).
