Uttarakhand News: Dhaakad Dhami Now a 'Dhurandhar', Will Hit a Six in 2027: Rajnath Singh

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh portrays Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami as Dhurandhar and Dhaakad, signalling strong BJP prospects for the 2027 Assembly elections, with emphasis on governance achievements and reforms.

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has described Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami as a "Dhurandhar" (a seasoned and formidable leader), expressing confidence that he will lead the BJP to a decisive victory in the 2027 Assembly elections.

Addressing a public rally in Haldwani, Singh recalled that during the 2022 Assembly elections, he had referred to Dhami as "Dhaakad." Now, ahead of the 2027 polls, he said Dhami has evolved further and is both "Dhaakad" and "Dhurandhar." He also used a cricket analogy, stating that the Chief Minister is preparing to hit an electoral "six" in 2027.

Praising Dhami's governance, the Defence Minister said that in his first four years in office, he has already scored a "solid four." By the time the next elections arrive in 2027, Dhami will complete six years in office and is poised to hit a "six," ensuring a third consecutive term for the BJP in Uttarakhand.

Lauds governance and reforms

Rajnath Singh highlighted the achievements of the state government across multiple sectors, including women empowerment, infrastructure development, economic growth, and welfare of soldiers.

He said the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in Uttarakhand has set a strong example of women empowerment. He also praised the government's action against illegal infiltration, stating it has helped safeguard the state's identity. Additionally, Singh commended the strict anti-cheating law introduced by the Dhami government, calling it a reform that will have long-term positive impact.

The Defence Minister said that under Pushkar Singh Dhami's leadership, Uttarakhand is steadily progressing towards becoming a model state in every aspect, reinforcing confidence in the BJP's prospects in the upcoming elections.
