During a press conference, Reddy emphasised that Telangana competes not with neighbouring Indian states but with countries like China, South Korea, Japan, and Singapore. He plans to personally invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, and AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge to the Telangana Rising Global Summit on December 8 and 9 at the proposed Bharat Future City.
Telangana's Vision for Economic Growth
The state government will unveil the Telangana Raising Vision Document 2047 during the celebrations. This document outlines a comprehensive development strategy divided into three parts: CURE (core urban regional economy), PURE (peri-urban regional economy), and RARE (rural agricultural region economy). The document aims to transform Telangana into a USD 1 trillion economy by 2034 and a USD 3 trillion economy by 2047.
Reddy stated, "Today Telanganas population is just 2.5 per cent of the overall country’s population. But we are contributing 5 per cent to the Indian economy. That should increase to 10 per cent in future. We are preparing plans to contribute 10 per cent to the Indian economy." The vision document includes both vision and strategy components for achieving these ambitious economic goals.
Global Summit and Public Engagement
The Telangana Rising Global Summit will take place at the proposed Future City near Hyderabad on December 8 and 9. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka mentioned that a Vision Documentary will be released on December 9, detailing how Telangana plans to become a USD 3 trillion economy and outlining its developmental roadmap.
Exhibition stalls related to the Global Summit will be accessible to the public from December 11 to 13. To ensure the summit's success, invitations have been extended to Union Ministers, Chief Ministers from various states, industrialists, economists, sportspersons, media figures, diplomats, and experts from diverse fields.
Jayesh Ranjan, special chief secretary to the government, reported that invitations have been sent to 4,500 representatives across different sectors. Of these invitees, around 1,000 have already confirmed their participation in the event.
The celebrations reflect Telangana's commitment to becoming a major contributor to India's economy while fostering growth across urban and rural areas alike. The events aim to highlight the state's potential in various domains and engage with national and international stakeholders.
