Real Kerala Story: Maha Kumbh Fame Monalisa Marries Her Muslim Boyfriend in Kerala Against Her Family’s Will

Monalisa Bhosle, who became famous during the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, has married her partner Farman Khan in Thiruvananthapuram.

The couple tied the knot at the Nainar Temple after approaching the police for help when Monalisa's family opposed their interfaith relationship. Their wedding brought an end to days of uncertainty and tension surrounding their decision to marry.

Couple Approached Police Amid Family Opposition

Before the wedding, Monalisa visited the Thampanoor Police Station to seek assistance.
She reportedly told police officers that her family did not approve of her relationship with Farman Khan and that her father was trying to take her back to their hometown against her wishes.

Police officials said the couple arrived at the station along with members of a film crew with whom Monalisa was working in Kerala. She clearly informed officers that she planned to marry her partner and stay with him.

Authorities explained that since both Monalisa and Farman are adults, they were free to make their own decisions. As a result, the police did not need to intervene in the matter.
After the discussion, Monalisa left the station with Farman and the film crew, while her father later returned home.

Wedding Ceremony in Thiruvananthapuram

The couple later went ahead with their wedding plans and got married at the Nainar Temple in Thiruvananthapuram.

Several political leaders were reportedly present during the ceremony. Among those who attended were V Sivankutty, MV Govindan and AA Rahim.

Speaking at the event, Rahim said the marriage symbolised Kerala's tradition of social harmony. He also highlighted that the Constitution of India allows people from different religions to marry and live together.

A 'Six-Month Love Story'

After the ceremony, Monalisa expressed happiness about her new beginning and explained that the couple chose Kerala as their wedding destination because they liked the state.
Farman Khan also shared his thoughts about their relationship.

According to him, their love story began only about six months ago but feels much longer because of the strong bond they share. He also mentioned that he works as an actor.

From Rudraksh Seller to Viral Fame

Monalisa first gained nationwide attention during the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, where she was seen selling rudraksh garlands.

A video recorded by a content creator during the event went viral on social media, turning her into an internet sensation almost overnight. After her sudden popularity, she began receiving opportunities in entertainment projects.

She later travelled to Kerala for a film shoot, during which the issue with her family came to light.

According to police sources, Monalisa and Farman had been staying in Poovar near Thiruvananthapuram while working on the film project before the situation led them to seek help at the police station.

A New Chapter Begins

Despite the opposition from her family and the public attention surrounding their relationship, Monalisa Bhosle and Farman Khan decided to move forward with their wedding.

Their marriage has now brought closure to the tense situation and marked the beginning of a new chapter in their lives.
