"From the time of his arrival till his departure, every movement will be monitored by multiple security agencies. We are coordinating minute-to-minute movement details in real time," a source said.
Senior officers of the Delhi Police will supervise all arrangements, including traffic coordination and the sanitisation of areas the Russian President is likely to visit.
"As per the route plan, all locations on the movement map will be secured and sanitised well in advance. Advisories will be issued to minimise inconvenience to commuters," the source added.
Additionally, more than 50 personnel from Russia's advance security and protocol teams will arrive in New Delhi to conduct detailed inspections of routes, venues, and the overall security framework.
During the two-day visit, Delhi will be under a multi-layered security ring involving the Delhi Police, central agencies, and Putin's personal security detail. Special units including SWAT teams, anti-terror squads, and quick reaction teams will be deployed at key points across the city. Authorities will also use drone monitoring, CCTV surveillance, and technical intelligence systems to ensure real-time situational awareness throughout the visit.
