Uttarakhand News: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami Participates in 47th All India Public Relations Conference–2025

The 47th All India Public Relations Conference 2025 in Dehradun, inaugurated by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, spotlights PR as a key pillar of nation-building. It underscores trustworthy government communication, disaster-ready PR systems, and Uttarakhand’s development path toward Developed India 2047, with a focus on tourism, infrastructure, and investment.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today participated in the 47th All India Public Relations Conference–2025 held at Hotel Emerald Grand on Sahastradhara Road, Dehradun. The Chief Minister inaugurated the conference by lighting the ceremonial lamp and visited the photo exhibition organised at the venue. He also interacted with artisans at various handicraft stalls, encouraging local art and craftsmanship.

Dehradun is hosting the three-day conference from December 13 to 15, with participation from public relations and communication professionals from across the country. Organised by the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI), the conference is based on the theme "Developed India @2047: Development with Heritage."

Welcoming PR experts, delegates and young professionals, the Chief Minister said the theme "PR Vision for 2047" is highly relevant in achieving the goal of a Developed India. He stated that public relations has evolved beyond information dissemination and has become an important pillar of the nation-building process.

He noted that while the digital era has made information easily accessible, misinformation poses a serious challenge. In such a situation, establishing accurate, timely and trustworthy communication between the government and the public is the greatest responsibility of public relations professionals.

The Chief Minister said that in a disaster-prone and strategically sensitive state like Uttarakhand, communication is not a formality but the foundation of public trust. He stressed that future PR systems must be fast, technologically capable and sensitive to public sentiments, especially in areas such as disaster management, good governance, religious management and tourism.

He expressed confidence that public relations can act as an effective command centre during crises and also play a vital role in building a positive national narrative. He added that the vision emerging from Devbhoomi Uttarakhand will provide new direction to the Developed India–2047 mission.

Uttarakhand Rapidly Advancing on the Development Path

Highlighting the state’s development journey, the Chief Minister said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttarakhand is moving rapidly on the path of progress. He informed that the state’s economy is expected to reach approximately ₹3.78 lakh crore in 2024–25, with a significant rise in per capita income.

He added that the state has witnessed unprecedented growth in its budget and a historic decline in the unemployment rate. Rapid development of modern infrastructure is underway in education, health, roads, sports, drinking water, and air and rail connectivity.

Tourism, Infrastructure and Investment Get New Momentum

The Chief Minister said Uttarakhand is being developed as a global hub for religious tourism, wellness, adventure tourism, film shooting and destination weddings. Projects such as the Rishikesh–Karnaprayag rail line, Delhi–Dehradun Expressway, ropeway projects and airport expansion are accelerating development. Winter tourism initiatives are also promoting year-round tourism.

He said Uttarakhand has achieved significant success in grounding investment proposals received through the Global Investors Summit. With a single-window system and new industrial and startup policies, the state has emerged as an attractive investment destination.

Uttarakhand’s Policies Becoming a National Model

The Chief Minister said initiatives such as One District–Two Products, House of Himalayas, Millet Mission, and new tourism and film policies are strengthening local livelihoods. Uttarakhand’s performance in national and international rankings reflects transparent, effective and participatory governance.

He added that the state government remains committed to development while preserving cultural values, social harmony and demographic balance. Uttarakhand’s policies and innovations are increasingly becoming a model for other states and contributing meaningfully to the vision of Developed India–2047.

PRSI National Award and Dignitaries Present

On this occasion, Additional Secretary and Director General of Information Banshidhar Tiwari was honoured by PRSI with a national award for excellence in good governance. The event was attended by Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi, Swami Chidanand Muni of Parmarth Niketan, PRSI National President Ajit Pathak, Dehradun Chapter President Ravi Bijarniya, Russian delegates Mikhail Maslov, Davydenko Yulia and Anna Talanina, along with public relations and communication professionals from across the country.
