The three individuals were arrested in Udaipur after the woman filed a complaint supported by medical evidence and the case was registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at Sukher police station.

Three people, including the company's CEO, have been arrested in Udaipur after a woman manager accused them of raping her following a birthday party hosted by the firm's top executive.

Police said the incident took place last Saturday night and came to light after the survivor approached authorities with a detailed complaint supported by medical evidence.

Birthday gathering ends with woman left alone

According to the police, the birthday party was organised by the company's Chief Executive Officer and attended by several employees, including the woman who later filed the complaint. As the evening progressed, guests gradually began leaving the venue.

By the time the gathering ended, the woman was reportedly the only guest left behind. Police said this detail was mentioned in her statement, which formed the basis of the case registered later at Sukher police station.

Lift offer, substance consumed and loss of consciousness

In her complaint, the woman told investigators that the company's female executive head offered to drop her home. She agreed and got into the car, where the CEO and the executive head's husband, a resident of Meerut, were also present.

During the drive, the accused allegedly stopped at a shop and purchased an item resembling cigarettes, which was then offered to the woman, PTI reported. She claimed that after consuming the substance, she began feeling disoriented and soon lost consciousness.

The woman stated that she regained awareness while she was being sexually assaulted inside the moving vehicle. Despite attempting to resist, she alleged that all three accused were involved in the assault.

Alleged assault continued till early morning hours

The survivor further told police that she was kept inside the car for several hours and was only dropped home in the early hours of the morning. She said she experienced severe pain and weakness afterwards.

Following the incident, she underwent a medical examination at a private hospital. According to her complaint, the medical report confirmed sexual assault, after which she approached the police to file a formal case.

Arrests made, probe handed to senior officer

Based on the woman's statement, a case was registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at Sukher police station. All three accused, the CEO, the female executive head, and her husband, were arrested on Thursday after questioning.

"The accused were arrested following the registration of a case at Sukher police station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. They were produced before a court on Thursday and sent on four-day police remand," Udaipur Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal said.

Police confirmed that the woman's medical examination and statements have been completed. The investigation has now been transferred to Additional Superintendent of Police Madhuri Verma, with further probe into the case currently underway.
