NTK Chief Seeman Files Nomination From Karaikudi, Declares ₹3.74 Crore Assets And 24 Pending Cases

Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) chief coordinator Seeman has filed his nomination papers for the Karaikudi constituency in the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

Along with his nomination, details of his assets, liabilities, and pending legal cases were also made public.

Nomination Filed in Presence of Family

Seeman submitted his nomination at the Devakottai Sub-Collector's office. He was accompanied by his mother Annammal, wife Kayalvizhi, and party members during the filing process.

The nomination papers were handed over to the Returning Officer and Sub-Collector Ayush Venkat Vats.

Wife Filed as Substitute Candidate

After Seeman filed his nomination, his wife Kayalvizhi also submitted her nomination as a substitute candidate. This is a common procedure in elections, where a backup candidate is named in case the main nomination is rejected.

Total Assets Worth ₹3.74 Crore

According to the affidavit submitted with the nomination papers, Seeman and his wife together own assets worth approximately ₹3.74 crore.

Seeman's Assets

Seeman's movable assets include:

• ₹50,000 in cash
• ₹7.72 lakh in bank deposits
• A car valued at ₹12 lakh
• 150 grams of gold worth ₹19.50 lakh

His total movable assets are valued at around ₹39.81 lakh. He also has liabilities of ₹5.11 lakh.

Kayalvizhi's Assets and Investments

Seeman's wife Kayalvizhi holds a larger share of the family's assets.
Her movable assets include:

• ₹35,000 in cash
• ₹5.27 lakh in bank deposits
• ₹3.5 lakh in shares
• Two cars worth ₹25 lakh and ₹4 lakh
• 1,600 grams of gold valued at ₹2.08 crore

In total, her movable assets are valued at around ₹2.57 crore.

Land Holdings and Liabilities

Kayalvizhi also owns immovable assets, including:

• 25.45 acres of agricultural land worth ₹51 lakh
• 10 acres of non-agricultural land worth ₹36 lakh

The total value of her immovable assets is around ₹87 lakh. She has liabilities amounting to ₹18.29 lakh.

24 Cases Pending Against Seeman

The affidavit also revealed that Seeman currently has 24 cases pending against him. However, it clearly states that he has not been convicted in any of these cases so far.

A Key Candidate in Upcoming Elections

Seeman is contesting from Karaikudi as part of NTK's campaign in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. His party has been actively participating in state politics, focusing on regional identity and governance issues.
