The accused reportedly used the same method in this case too. Police said both victims later asked for their money back. The accused then reportedly offered a settlement.
As part of the settlement, police said four cheques worth Rs 22 lakh were issued. The cheques were drawn from the accused’s brother’s bank account, the official added. All four cheques bounced, police said. A case has been registered against Himanshu Mohan Mishra and Adarsh Shobhnath Yadav. Further investigation is underway.
