Global Ability Photography Challenge 2026 (GAPC) opens worldwide, inviting photographers with disabilities to showcase personal perspectives. NotJustArt and Adani GreenXTalks provide a free entry, substantial cash prizes, curated exhibitions, and international exposure, emphasising inclusive storytelling and recognition of diverse talents in the creative arts.

The initiative, recognised as one of the largest inclusive photography challenges of its kind, is open to participants worldwide and does not charge any entry fee. Over the years, the platform has expanded significantly, reaching more than 8 million people and attracting over 50,000 participants from more than 30 countries. Previous editions have also seen exhibitions hosted internationally, including in Japan and Dubai.

The competition invites photographers with disabilities, both amateur and professional, to showcase their work reflecting personal experiences and unique perspectives. The aim is to bring diverse narratives into mainstream visibility and foster greater inclusion in the creative arts.

Meera Shenoy, Founder and CEO of Youth4Jobs Foundation, said the initiative highlights how individuals with disabilities can lead with powerful and creative expression when given the right platform. She noted that many past winners have overcome significant challenges and are now making notable contributions in their fields.

Jeet Adani, Director at Adani Airports Holdings Ltd, said the collaboration aims to provide a global stage for talented photographers with disabilities. He added that photography, as a universal and creative medium, has the power to tell compelling stories and connect people across boundaries.

The competition offers a substantial prize pool to recognise outstanding talent. The first prize carries a cash award of Rs 5 lakh, followed by Rs 3 lakh for second place and Rs 2 lakh for third place. Participants ranked fourth to tenth will receive Rs 1 lakh each.

In addition to cash prizes, the top 20 entries will be showcased in a curated exhibition, while the top 10 winners will be awarded specially designed trophies created by internationally acclaimed designer Michael Foley. All participants will receive certificates of participation.

The award ceremony and exhibition are scheduled to be held in Ahmedabad on June 24, 2026. Travel and accommodation expenses will be covered for selected Indian winners and one international participant. Selected works will also be featured across media platforms and global campaigns.

NotJustArt focuses on promoting artistic talent among persons with disabilities, particularly in photography, and aims to build a more inclusive creative ecosystem. It operates as part of Youth4Jobs Foundation, which works to enhance livelihood opportunities for young individuals with disabilities through skill development and technology-driven initiatives. Entries for the Global Ability Photography Challenge 2026 are now open, and photographers with disabilities from across the world are encouraged to participate.
