Bihar entered a new political phase on Wednesday as Bihar gets first BJP Chief Minister- Samrat Choudhary, took oath today, a day after Nitish Kumar stepped down from the post. The swearing-in ceremony was held in Patna, marking a major shift in the state's leadership.

Alongside him, senior Janata Dal (United) leaders Vijay Kumar Choudhary and Bijendra Prasad Yadav were sworn in as Deputy Chief Ministers.

Born in Samastipur district, he completed his education at Patna University and began his career as a Probationary Officer (PO) with the State Bank of India (SBI).

After the death of his father, former MLA Jagdish Prasad Choudhary, he entered politics through the Congress party. Over time, he rose to become the leader of the Congress Legislative Party.

Later, he joined the JD(U) and has been winning elections consistently since 2005. His long association with Nitish Kumar has made him a key figure in Bihar politics.

Bijendra Prasad Yadav: A Senior Political Figure

Bijendra Prasad Yadav is another experienced JD(U) leader who has taken oath as Deputy Chief Minister.

He has been representing the Supaul constituency since 1990 and currently holds key portfolios such as Finance, Planning, and Development in the state government.

His long political experience and administrative role make him an important part of the new leadership team.
