Filming Reel at 120 kmph: Driver Avadh Tiwari Among Two Killed in Jetpur Accident

A dangerous social media stunt ended in tragedy after two young men died in a high-speed car crash in Jetpur, located in Gujarat, on Saturday. The victims were reportedly filming Instagram videos moments before the accident.

According to reports, the car was being driven by Avadh Tiwari, who had been posting videos of himself driving at high speed on Instagram shortly before the crash. The vehicle involved in the accident was reportedly a Hyundai Verna sedan.

Speeding While Recording Reels

Videos circulating online show Tiwari driving the car at nearly 120 kmph while recording a reel. In one clip, he can be seen holding a mobile phone in his left hand while steering with the other. The footage appears to have been filmed by another person sitting in the back seat.

Another video reportedly shows a passenger in the front seat capturing the speeding car on camera as it raced down the road.

Authorities say the car eventually lost control and crashed into a road divider, resulting in a severe collision.

Two Dead, One Critical

Tiwari died at the scene of the accident. His friend Devraj Gosai, aged 20, was rushed to a nearby hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.

A third passenger, Akshay Pravinbhai Vaghela, survived the crash but remains in critical condition, according to reports.

Social Media Obsession Under Scrutiny

Investigations revealed that Tiwari had more than 3,500 followers on Instagram and frequently posted photos and videos featuring different cars and high-speed drives. The fatal incident has once again raised concerns about the growing trend of recording risky driving stunts for social media content.

Police are continuing their investigation into the crash, while the videos shared online are being reviewed as part of the inquiry.
