BiharOne to Drive Next Wave of Digital Governance in Bihar, ₹87 Crore Project Awarded to CIPL

BiharOne will integrate diverse public services into a single digital window, improving accessibility, reducing duplication, and enabling data-driven policymaking. The ₹ 87 crore project, implemented by Corporate Infotech Pvt. Ltd. (CIPL) with BELTRON support, aims to boost transparency and accelerate service delivery while creating new opportunities in IT and analytics.

Bihar is set to witness a major leap in digital governance with the launch of the ambitious ‘BiharOne’ project, aimed at transforming the delivery of public services and welfare schemes across the state. The Government of Bihar has awarded the ₹87 crore e-governance project to Corporate Infotech Pvt. Ltd. (CIPL), with the platform scheduled to go live in July this year.

The agreement for the BiharOne project was signed at BELTRON Bhawan in Patna, marking a significant step towards building a seamless and citizen-centric digital ecosystem. The initiative is expected to position Bihar as a frontrunner in e-governance delivery among Indian states.

BiharOne is envisioned as a unified digital platform that will integrate a wide range of government services under a single window. The project aims to eliminate the need for citizens to visit multiple offices or deal with lengthy procedures, enabling them to access services quickly, transparently, and efficiently.

The platform is designed to simplify governance for all sections of society. From farmers in remote villages applying for benefits to students accessing certificates without delays, BiharOne promises to make essential services more accessible and user-friendly. By integrating the Bihar Common Social Registry with departmental services, the system will reduce duplication and streamline processes.

Officials say the project goes beyond administrative efficiency and is expected to contribute to economic growth as well. It will create new opportunities for young professionals in fields such as software development, data analytics, and artificial intelligence. Patna is gradually emerging as a hub for digital transformation in eastern India, with CIPL playing a key role in this shift.

The initiative also emphasizes data-driven governance. With real-time analytics and insights, the government will be better equipped to design targeted policies, monitor implementation, and ensure timely delivery of benefits. The platform will feature AI-powered chatbots in local languages, as well as Hindi and English, to make services more accessible to citizens.

Supported by BELTRON, BiharOne will integrate both RTPS and non-RTPS services into a single ecosystem, ensuring inclusivity and efficiency. As Bihar embraces this digital transformation, the BiharOne project stands as a milestone in redefining governance through technology, aiming to bridge gaps and bring the government closer to the people.
