Amit Shah Slams Opposition For Creating 'Infiltrator Corridor' Ahead Of Bihar Polls

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday accused the INDIA bloc of attempting to create a "corridor for infiltrators," contrasting it with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of developing an "industrial corridor." Addressing consecutive rallies in Sasaram and Arwal on the final day of campaigning for the second and final phase of the Bihar Assembly elections, Shah promised that the state would soon play a key role in India's defence production.

"In the future, the mortar shells that will be dropped on Pakistan will be manufactured at an ordnance factory in Bihar," Shah declared, highlighting the government's plan to set up a defence corridor in the state.

Referring to a recent 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' led by Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav, Shah alleged that the campaign had nothing to do with improving the lives of Bihar's poor, Dalits, or EBCs. "It was aimed at protecting infiltrators," he charged.

The former BJP president claimed that the opposition's "vote bank politics" had driven them to promote the idea of a 'ghuspaithiya corridor' (infiltrator corridor), in sharp contrast to Modi's plan for an industrial corridor.

Responding to Rahul Gandhi's repeated allegations of "vote chori" (vote theft), Shah asked, "If he believes votes are being stolen, why doesn't he lodge a formal complaint with the Election Commission?"

Shah drew a stark comparison between the UPA era and the present government, saying, "When the Centre was led by Manmohan Singh, Sonia Gandhi, and Lalu Prasad Yadav, terrorists attacked our soil at will. In contrast, under Modi's leadership, we now strike them inside their own homes."

He reiterated that if terrorists from Pakistan dared to attack again, India would retaliate with mortar shells made in Bihar, reaffirming the Modi government's commitment to national security and defence self-reliance.

Criticising the Congress and RJD, Shah accused them of trying to obstruct the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, where an ancient Hindu shrine was destroyed by Mughal emperor Babur 550 years ago. "Today, under Modi's leadership, a magnificent temple stands tall at that sacred site," he said.

Predicting the poll outcome, Shah asserted, "This is my 37th rally in Bihar, and I can tell you beforehand-Lalu ji and his allies will be wiped out in the first phase itself."

He urged voters to remain vigilant and not get complacent, warning that the opposition, despite new alliances, carried the same "lantern and hand" symbols and the same corrupt character.

Targeting the CPI(ML) Liberation, which is part of the INDIA bloc, Shah cautioned, "Under Modi's leadership, we have eradicated naxalism. But if these red flag supporters are given even a small chance, Bihar could again face the Left insurgency that once plagued the state."

In a pointed remark aimed at Rahul Gandhi, Shah said, "Press the EVM button for NDA candidates with such force that the impact is felt as far as Italy," alluding to Gandhi's maternal ancestry.

Concluding his address, Shah contrasted Lalu Prasad Yadav, convicted in multiple fodder scam cases, with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the JD(U) president and NDA ally, praising Kumar as a leader with "no taint of corruption despite being in power for 20 years."
