In the video, thick black smoke can be seen billowing from the hostel as students scream and struggle to escape. Some are seen tying bedsheets and clothes into ropes, lowering themselves from upper floors. Others assist friends in climbing down, while anguished onlookers gather below, many helpless and in shock as the burning wreckage of the aircraft smolders in the background.

The crash claimed 274 lives - 241 onboard and 33 on the ground. Among those killed were five MBBS students residing in the hostel, adding to the heartbreak for the BJ Medical College community and the entire nation.

The courage of the surviving students, captured in this raw and emotional footage, has drawn widespread attention. Their quick thinking and bravery are being praised, even as questions loom over the cause of the disaster.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has launched an in-depth investigation into the crash. Initial findings suggest a critical malfunction shortly after takeoff, but officials stress that the full picture will only emerge after thorough analysis of flight data, cockpit voice recordings, and witness accounts.

This incident ranks among the deadliest aviation disasters in India's history, and the newly surfaced video adds a haunting dimension to the tragedy. It has triggered fresh discussions about aviation safety, emergency preparedness near airports, and the urgent need for improved infrastructure to prevent similar catastrophes in the future.
