7 Dead, Many Injured After Early Morning Fire in Delhi’s Palam Area

In a tragic fire in a multi-storey residential building near Shri Ram Chowk, close to Palam Metro station in southwest Delhi on Wednesday morning, claimed the lives of seven people and left several others seriously injured, according to officials from Delhi Police and Delhi Fire Services.

Fire Broke Out Early Morning

The fire was reported early in the day, creating panic among residents. According to fire officials, a call was received around 7:00 AM about a blaze in a building located in Gali Number-2 near Shri Ram Chowk.

Soon after receiving the alert, emergency services rushed to the scene. Thick smoke and flames were seen coming out of the building, making rescue operations difficult.

Massive Rescue Operation Launched

Nearly 30 fire tenders were immediately sent to control the fire and rescue those trapped inside. Firefighters worked quickly to enter the building and bring people to safety.
