Hyderabad Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar on Tuesday assured residents that there is no shortage of fuel or LPG cylinders in the city, asking people not to rush to petrol pumps or gas suppliers amid concerns over availability. The clarification came as authorities sought to calm nerves and prevent unnecessary crowding at stations across Hyderabad.

Sajjanar says fuel and LPG stocks are adequate

In a post on X, Sajjanar said the city has sufficient reserves and that distribution is continuing without disruption.

"There is no shortage of fuel or LPG cylinders in #Hyderabad. Adequate stocks are available and supply is running smoothly across the city. Citizens are requested not to panic or rush to fuel stations, as such actions may lead to unnecessary congestion and disruption," he said.

The statement was aimed at reassuring residents after panic-driven concerns appeared to trigger anxiety around fuel and LPG availability in parts of the city.

Police monitoring situation with all departments

The Hyderabad Police Commissioner said the city police are keeping a close watch on the situation in coordination with all concerned departments to ensure there is no disruption in supply or public order.

According to the police, the administration is actively monitoring developments and working with relevant agencies to maintain smooth distribution of essential fuel and cooking gas supplies.
