Hyderabad Power Cut Today, February 8: Several Khairatabad Areas To Face Outages, Check Timings

Residents in parts of Hyderabad are likely to experience power interruptions on Sunday as the Telangana Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TGSPDCL) carries out maintenance of electricity lines and repairs on feeders.

Officials said the decision was taken to strengthen the power network and prevent technical faults in the future. Consumers have been advised to plan their daily activities accordingly.

Maintenance Work Behind Scheduled Outages

According to TGSPDCL officials, regular feeder maintenance is essential to ensure the city's electricity system functions efficiently. As part of this effort, key repair works are being undertaken within the Khairatabad division. Due to this, electricity supply will be temporarily suspended for several residential colonies, commercial complexes, and government offices during specified hours.

Power Cut Timings and Affected Areas

10 am to 1 pm: Electricity supply will be suspended in Sangeet Nagar, Japadia Lane, Red Rose Hotel area, Civil Supplies Bhavan Street, Erramanjil Main Road, Khairatabad Main Road, Naser School Street, and NTR Gardens. Residents near Imams Circle, Parishram Bhavan, Aayakar Bhavan, L&T Construction Building, and Poolbagh will also face the outage.

11 am to 3 pm: Power cuts will affect areas around Nizam College, Law College, United Insurance Building, King Kothi Share Gate, Highline Chowrasta, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Dikneerwala Sweet Shop, and parts of Hyderguda.

2 pm to 5 pm: Supply will remain unavailable near Khairatabad Police Station, Shadan College, Pawani Plaza, KN Xerox, HDFC, Diamond Towers, Ravindra Nagar, Sai Ram Apartments, Murali Pan Shop, Renuka Apartments, the Judge's Office, and Babukhan Estate. Outages will also continue until evening near LB Stadium Main Road, the Commissionerate, Nizam Hostel, Jagadamba Jewellers building, Hyderguda, and the MLA Quarters.

What Residents Should Do Before the Outage

As Sunday is a holiday, many residents may plan to complete household tasks, but the scheduled interruptions could create inconvenience for both homes and small businesses. Officials have advised people to store adequate water in advance and remain cautious while using electronic appliances. They also noted that if the repair work is completed sooner than planned, electricity supply may be restored earlier than the scheduled time.
