Ustaad Bhagat Singh Box Office Collection Day 1: Pawan Kalyan's Film Off To Decent Start

Pawan Kalyan's Ustaad Bhagat Singh has begun its box office journey on a decent note, putting up average numbers in advance sales and securing a wide release across India on day one. The film, which hit theatres today amid strong fanfare, has managed to generate early momentum largely on the back of the actor's star power, though its long-term run will depend heavily on word of mouth after receiving a mixed response from viewers.

Before its theatrical debut, Ustaad Bhagat Singh had already shown promise through advance bookings. The film reportedly grossed more than Rs 15 crore from pre-sales alone, with over 41,000 tickets sold across the country. The various Andhra territories together have reportedly done business worth Rs 55 crore, making them the backbone of the film's theatrical economics.

Outside the Telugu belt, the film has recorded a comparatively modest but still notable business. The rest of India rights are said to be valued at around Rs 8.5 crore, while the overseas rights have fetched roughly Rs 12.5 crore. Taken together, the film's total worldwide pre-release business is estimated at over Rs 126 crore, which sets a fairly high bar for its theatrical recovery.

With such a large pre-release valuation, the pressure is now on the theatrical run to deliver. Trade expectations suggest that Ustaad Bhagat Singh will need to collect around Rs 200 crore gross worldwide to emerge as a break-even venture. That means the film needs not just a strong opening weekend, but also sustained hold in the coming days, especially in the Telugu states where the bulk of the investment is concentrated.

The opening-day trend indicates that the film has secured a respectable start, but the mixed initial audience response could become a crucial factor. Star-driven films often open big regardless of reviews, but their weekday stability usually depends on public talk. For Ustaad Bhagat Singh, the next few days will be critical in determining whether it can convert its strong initial buzz into a profitable theatrical run.
