The film doesn't follow the tried-and-tested masala template, but at the same time, it attempts to cram a little too much into its 3-hour-plus runtime.

A sports drama needs awe-inspiring moments, and #Peddi certainly delivers on that front... The cricket matches in the first half, the kushti training sessions and competitions, and of course, the penultimate race sequence are all exceptionally executed.

That said, there are loose ends as well... The romantic track is a major letdown, while several sequences feel stretched and some seem unnecessary... A shorter runtime was the need of the hour.

Even the item song in the second half evokes strong #Pushpa vibes, which wasn't really required.

Adi Reddy: Peddi is a good movie overall, but the biggest thing everyone should be talking about is Ram Charan's career best performance....Even people who went to the theatre with a negative opinion or wanted to criticize him will find it difficult to do so after watching his acting, dance, and dedication. He has put in tremendous effort, and it clearly shows on screen....

Another major highlight is AR Rahman garu's music. The background score and songs elevate almost every scene. He has done an outstanding job, and the music adds a lot of emotion and energy to the film...

The supporting cast also performed very well, and most of the characters fit perfectly into the story. However, the heroine's scenes did not work for me. In my opinion, those scenes were unnecessary, and the movie would have been just as effective even without them.

One more negative is the predictions and discussions that started before the movie release and after trailer..

Overall,for me Peddi is a good movie and a memorable one in Ram Charan's career. His performance is the biggest strength of the film, supported by excellent music and strong performances from the rest of the cast. The first half is fairly average with template commercial elements, and Jahnvi's track doesn't work. However, the stretch from the pre-interval to the end of Massa Massa is the film's biggest highlight and is executed well. Post that, the film drags with ups and downs, though the climax is wrapped up neatly.

Ram Charan is terrific and clearly carries the film. His transformation and effort are evident throughout. ARR's music works well and is another highlight. Buchi Babu Sana succeeds in presenting an honest story, but the screenplay and editing could have been better.

Has its share of flaws, but can be watched with expectations in check for Ram Charan's performance, the music, and the honest story.
