My Lord Movie Review: What's Good, What's Bad In Sasikumar's Tamil Film?
After the massive success of The Tourist Family, Sasikumar is back with his latest flick My Lord. He has collaborated with Raju Murugan of Cuckoo fame.
Chaithra J Achar is the female lead in the flick which has Asha Sharath, Guru Somasundaram, Jayaprakash, Gopi Nainar and Vasumithra.

The movie has Sean Roldan's music, Sathyaraj Natarajan's editing and Nirav Shah's cinematography.
My Lord is not a conventional courtroom drama-the court itself appears fleetingly, for barely ten minutes. The film's true canvas lies far beyond legal proceedings. At its heart, it is the life journey of Muthu Sirpi and Susila, a narrative steeped in humanity, dignity, and empathy.
The story unfolds in the quiet spaces between everyday struggles, where the invisible bond between those who wait patiently at the end of a line and those who try to leap ahead becomes a metaphor for society itself. That bond-fragile yet profound-forms the soul of the film.
Director's vision ensures that the courtroom is not the spectacle; instead, the focus rests on the lived experiences of ordinary people whose resilience and grace illuminate the screen. The film invites viewers to reflect on fairness, patience, and the subtle connections that bind us together, making My Lord less about verdicts and more about the human condition.
The movie will make it to theatres on February 13. However, it was premiered for select critics, movie influencers and cinephile two days ago. Find out what they are saying about the flick:
Sridevi Sreedhar: #MyLord 3.5/5 An engaging family drama with a strong message and impactful performances from
@SasikumarDir and #ChaithraJAchar in the lead. Strong supporting cast, powerful dialogues and import of kindness & human emotions makes this film a sure watch for families. @Dir_Rajumurugan has a lot to offer here - love, greed, exploitation, ignorance, survival and importance of being kind. Everything is beautifully woven together and is technically sharp with @RSeanRoldan bgm and NiravShah's camerawork being highlights. On the whole, a thought-provoking and hard-hitting film. A big 👍 to the team
Ramesh Bala: #MyLord [3.5/5] : A movie about illegal kidney racket..
Shows the plight of poor people who get into kidney racket through debt trap..
Engaging from start to end..
@SasikumarDir one more good movie from him..
#ChaithraJAchar perfect Tamil debut..
Good supporting cast @gurusoms #JayaPrakash #ashasarath
@gopinainar @RSeanRoldan songs and BGM 👌
@Dir_Rajumurugan has done good research and makes a powerful movie about how the poor are exploited 👍
