This choice of venue underscores Vijay's massive global appeal. Organizers expect a staggering footfall of over 75,000 to 90,000 fans, making it the largest gathering for a Vijay-led event outside of India. Dubbed "Thalapathy Thiruvizha," the event is designed as a day-long tribute to the actor's three-decade-long career.

Celebrities including Vijay, Anirudh Ravichander and Prabhu Deva have already left to Malaysia.

TV Broadcast: Zee Tamil will air the event on January 4, 2026.
