Mohanlal returns as Georgekutty, a man who goes to an extent to protect his family.
Drishyam 3 Story
Georgekutty, portrayed by Mohanlal, finally fulfils his long-cherished ambition of producing a film. The project, titled Drishyam, features superstar Arun Kumar, played by Biju Menon, in the leading role. Upon release, the film achieves phenomenal success at the box office, catapulting Georgekutty and his family into the spotlight. With the sudden surge of fame, the media begins to circle around them, eager to uncover hidden truths.
Among the press are two determined reporters who shadow Georgekutty's every move. Their objective is not merely to cover his newfound success but to dig deeper, hoping to unearth evidence connected to Varun's disappearance. They believe that exposing the whereabouts of Varun's remains could elevate their careers and bring them recognition in the industry. Their relentless pursuit adds tension to Georgekutty's life, as he struggles to protect the secrets of his past while managing the glare of public attention.

Amidst this growing scrutiny, Georgekutty turns his focus towards his family. His daughter, Anju George, played by Ansiba Hassan, is at the centre of his plans. He wishes to secure her future by arranging a marriage into a respectable household, ensuring stability and happiness for her. However, the timing of these personal aspirations clashes with the mounting pressure from the media and the unresolved shadows of the past.
The narrative pivots on this delicate balance between Georgekutty's efforts to safeguard his family and the persistent attempts of outsiders to expose the truth. The unfolding events test his resilience, forcing him to navigate a world where fame, suspicion, and family responsibilities collide. What follows forms the essence of the story, as Georgekutty's carefully constructed life faces challenges that threaten to unravel everything he has fought to protect.

This fresh retelling captures the tension, ambition, and emotional stakes at the heart of Drishyam, setting the stage for a gripping continuation of Georgekutty's journey.
What Netizens Say About Drishyam 3?
AmuthaBharathi: #Drishyam3 Slow paced 1st half which took time to setup the plot as like previous parts🤝, but the 2nd half was packed very tight with Emotions & Twists🔥
One more winner from the Franchise 👏
Studio Flicks: #Drishyam3 feels disappointing largely because of the towering standards set by its predecessors.
The first part too had a slow, drama-driven first half, with the actual conflict unfolding only around the interval. But it strongly invested in the emotions of George Kutty's family. Drishyam 2 elevated George Kutty's stature further, portraying him as an exceptionally smart man constantly keeping the offenders in perplexity.
Having already travelled extensively through George Kutty's world, #Drishyam 3 spends much of its first half re-establishing characters. Unfortunately, the lengthy runtime weakens the impact of the actual drama that unfolds post-interval.
The climax revelation, too, lacks the convincing and clap-worthy high associated with the franchise's previous endings.
#Mohanlal delivers yet another impeccable performance. One of the franchise's biggest strengths has always been its strong hero-villain dynamic, with Asha Sharath offering a formidable challenge. Her absence through most of the film noticeably reduces the intensity.
Disappointingly, last 25 minutes and the post-credit scene alone delivers the kind of excitement audiences expected right from Scene 1.
Ajay Dev D J: Watched #Drishyam3. Just wow. A classic criminal on a roll. The first half had a slow pace, but the interval punch really kicked things up. The ending was great too. For me, it was a great theatre experience. Can they expand the universe yes, should they do that idk.
Jalapathy Gudelli: #Drishyam3: What a dud! The only positive is a character hinting that this is "the end."
#JeethuJoseph's writing is shockingly weak and lacks the cleverness that made the first two films so gripping. Even #Mohanlal can't salvage this bore. Except for the final 15 minutes, there's hardly any thrill or intrigue. This franchise should have ended with Part 2. And the Telugu dubbing is terrible.
Shyam Krishnan: #Drishyam3 is a proper slow burner. It doesn't rely on edge-of-the-seat moments right from the beginning. Instead, it takes its time to establish the family's situation and the evolution of Georgekutty in the first half. The ever-present fear that continues to haunt them, despite trying their best to move on with life, is portrayed beautifully.
By the time the interval hits, we finally see the ghost from the past returning to haunt them once again. This time, it comes with the intent to completely shatter the family. Whether Georgekutty can survive and outsmart it yet again forms the core of the story.
Solid writing without trying to be hasty. Once again, the GOAT
@Mohanlal
brings incredible nuance to Georgekutty, balancing vulnerability with that subtle menace the character demands.
Go in with a slow-burn mindset. The payoff is absolutely delightful.

Kiran: #Drishyam3 is a decent watch. This one doesn't land perfectly or gives you the same thrill like the first two parts but it still keeps you invested especially the second half of the film. Yet another masterclass performance from Mohanlal sir🙏🏻🫡
Adithya Sreekumar: #Drishyam3 is the most entertaining of all the 3 parts. The first half is equally exciting as the second half!
@jeethu4ever has done a fab job at ensuring the tension stays throughout!
@Mohanlal brilliant, what a Birthday gift from Lalettan! @aashirvadcine
A winner 🏆 🔥
SmartBarani: #Drishyam3
This film is more of epilogue feel than sequel, the drama with little suspense keeps you engaged, interval block was total surprise 🔥🔥everyone performance was good
This is totally different film while comparing to the first two parts, Final act felt bit forced with some clap worthy twists 👍Neatly written screenplay🙌🏻 everyone did their part well.. could have avoided next part lead !!
Overall a Satisfying conclusion!
Rating : 3.25/5
ALIM SHAN: #Drishyam3: For a franchise of this stature, this was a letdown. Convenient writing throughout. Jeethu's downfall feels more evident than ever. There are moments where he builds tension, but that alone can't save it. Easily the weakest film in the franchise.
Mukil Vardhanan: #Drishyam3 - Not much as Previous parts 👍 Part 4 Lead - Jeethu Joseph 🫠 Better to surrender the Police 😭🙏
Sumit Kadel: #DRISHYAM3 : REPEATS THE SAME FORMULA, LACKS THE THRILL OF ITS PREDECESSORS...
Rating - ⭐️⭐️🌟 ( 2.5 Stars )
Drishyam 3 revisits the familiar world and characters once again but this time, the impact is considerably weaker. While Parts 1 and 2 managed to keep viewers hooked and booked with gripping storytelling, tension filled moments, shocking twists and mind numbing climax, the third installment feels stretched and repetitive.
The first half moves at a sluggish pace with very little happening though the interval block is good . The film picks up slightly in the second half as the mystery begins to unfold, but the proceedings never truly become gripping.
#Drishyam3 getting positive reviews from audiences🥵📈#Mohanlal pic.twitter.com/tQctJK5DOt

The biggest disappointment is the climax, something the franchise has always been celebrated for. #JeethuJoseph who is known for his outstanding finale twist, this time it lacks the shock value and emotional payoff expected from the series.
A major issue is the overfamiliarity of the narrative structure. The suspense, investigation pattern and emotional beats feel too similar to the earlier films, making the overall experience predictable. Instead of reinventing the franchise, the film relies heavily on nostalgia and repetition.
#MohanLal Performance is sincere and technically the film is mounted well, but the writing doesn't offer enough novelty to justify another sequel. The franchise now appears exhausted creatively, and the formula feels overused.
Over Drishyam3 works in parts, but overall emerges as the weakest installment of the franchise. At the box office front, film will emerge as a winner due to its controlled budget and massive worldwide opening.
Venky Reviews: #Drishyam3 A below par third installment from the franchise with a flat narration and very basic writing!
The director succeeds in building the mood of the film and creating tension in places, but this time the overall writing is unimpressive. Climax sequence is a bit better but the rest feels too basic and way too redundant.
The slow narration is expected, but when the twists themselves don't land impactfully, it becomes hard to make this one work. Ends up disappointing and nowhere near the range of the first two parts!
Rating: 2.25/5
Thyview: #Drishyam3
Lightning didn't strike thrice.
Drishyam 3 follows the structure of drishyam 2..to the dot. Except it's a lot less thrilling. The entire first half is spent setting up the story. Definitely could've been handled better.
2nd half is where the story finally moves and here Jeetu joseph enters his strong zone. He constructs drama. He controls information. This is the all too familiar drishyam dna that we fell in love with.
The film does meta references and sometimes even offers tongue in cheek comments.
It ends with a climax heavy on intellectual and emotional payoff, but the question is should we settle for it??
We neither feel the level of emotion that we did in the climax of first part...nor do we feel the same level of surprise and awe that we do in the end of the second part. Here it feels like a routine that we all know how it starts and where it ends. And just when I thought it ends... The director keeps a question mark that only left me with one feeling -Let it go!
#Drishyam3Review
ImUtopian: Wow Factor that I got in D1/D2 was missing in D3, nevertheless this is a good film building tension in the 2nd half!
The Climax scenes felt a bit stretched, Jeethu almost pulled it off at a Stage (15 minutes prior climax, which i felt shud have been the real climax!)
ABHILASH THANKAMANI: #Drishyam3 is throughout engaging in both the halves with enough twist & turns. And ended on a note that leads to the next part.
More than any previous films in the franchise, this one is emotionally much connected.
Jithu as a director is miles good from the second part or any movies he did lately.
" The past never stays silent " & " He will go any extent to save his family " both taglines justified once again. Go for it 🤞
K A L K I: Though it didn't live up to the first two parts mainly due to the lack of wow factor, yet #Drishyam3 still managed to be a neat watch. Liked the character arc shift - a fragile GK against too many odds and a satisfying climax. Don't expect too many twists.
Technically the best in the franchise. No need for a 4th part!!
Watch it before the spoilers 🙏🏻🔥
Marcus Legranda: #Drishyam3 - Not Predictable but Not Impressive. Jeethu has written a pretty good script but presentation towards the end wasn't effective as the other 2 movies. #Mohanlal's towering presence was the major highlight.
MH: #Drishyam3 - AVERAGE but Enough For a possible INDUSTRY HIT!
FH started off slowly with a Terrific interval Bang whereas second half felt totally average. The most awaited climax was so disappointing for me but the same time this is enough to quench the "twisty" thirst of people
M9 NEWS: #Drishyam3 Flat First Half!
Begins with a smooth recap. But once that's over, the film slips into a mostly dull and barely engaging drama till the interval.
The interval twist exists, but the drama leading to it lacks grip. Overall, the first half is barely passable.
The Review Reel: #Drishyam3 First Half Report:
Slow burn so far. More focus on Georgekutty's family life and the eveyday problems they face from villagers/people who know his case than actual thriller movement. Only a small "brick movement" moment right before interval hints at the bigger plot. Waiting for the second half payoff.
Let's X OTT GLOBAL: #Drishyam3 An Average First Half...
Slow Screenplay !!
Second Half is The Key ...Hope 🤞
Christopher Kanagaraj: #Drishyam3 | Second Half
Engaging from the Interval Point. But a Wow Factor is missing in the climax!
#Drishyam3 | First Half.
A Very slow paced Drama, focussed mainly on Georgekutty's Family; with a Interval Twist.
Second Half is the key!
Tej Varrun: Drishiyam 2 also last 40 min was engaging other than that It was a family drama showing how the family is in the criminal affected situation
Kerala Boxoffice Stats: #Drishyam3
First half satisfied the enormous pre-release expectations. Very good interval. Strong emotional core, which will connect with the audience.

Cricketer Hari ❤: I honestly cannot comprehend the hype around #D3. From start to finish, it felt like a stretched-out, predictable mess that ruined the suspense and intelligence of the first two films.
#Drishyam3 1/3
Kerala Boxoffice Stats: First half satisfied the enormous pre-release expectations. Very good interval. Strong emotional core, which will connect with the audience.
#Mohanlal
Studio Flicks: #Drishyam3 First half - Needs little patience as story unfolds in "Novel" style with characters revisiting George Kutty world. 30 mins totally invested for this drama. Momentum slowly picking from 20 mins to Interval. Well no big twists and turns. Well even the previous installments had a similar treatment. Lets wait for roller coaster moments in second half
Man of Fiction: #Drishyam3 First Half - GOOD 👍🏻
- Typical Malayalam and #Drishyam Mark Screenplay
- Setup, Setup and More Setup.
- Feels more grounded than the previous films but the Thrill is still there.
- Feels somewhat uncanny watching #Mohanlal garu instead of #Venkatesh garu.😅
- Telugu Dubbing is Atrocious.
Abin Babu 🦇: #Drishyam3 - FIRST HALF,Tight Tight Tight with Kidu Interval Block 🙏🏼🔥
Same as The Treatment Of Part 1 & 2 With Emotional Side of Georgekutty. Slow Narration With Emotional Engagement. Near Towards Interval 🥶🔥
Looks Like Sambavam Loading In 2nd Half
A2 Studio: #Drishyam3 FIRST HALF 👍🏻
The story takes a bit of a dramatic turn, but it really picks up at the break with something big happening. The twists might not quite ring true, but the story is still pretty captivating. The second half is super important for the film to really shine. I'm looking forward to seeing what else surprises us!
Raju madrasi: 🐐 first half for drishyam3. Interval block🥵

Fun with some emotional elements overall well worked for me 🔥😂

Madhuri Daksha: As I have mentioned before, the storyline of the 3rd part is entirely different from the first two movies. This is the story of 2 families who have been living under the shadow of the same pain for 13 years.

Kerala Box Office: #Drishyam3 - A clean winner loading!! 🏆🔥
Another solid addition to the franchise with emotions that connect well throughout the film. Jeethu Joseph's trademark style stands out once again, especially in the second half and the climax portions. There's also a strong actor in the film whose presence hasn't been revealed yet. Overall, this is another movie that audiences will surely enjoy on May 21st.
