Dhurandhar 2 Box Office Collection Day 2: Ranveer Singh's Film Maintains Solid Pace, Chases Pushpa 2 Record

Dhurandhar 2 Box Office Collection Day 2: Aditya Dhar's spy thriller Dhurandhar: The Revenge, led by Ranveer Singh, has delivered a massive opening at the Indian box office, collecting Rs 100.23 crore on its first day. The Hindi version dominates with Rs 96.78 crore, while dubbed versions in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam contribute an additional Rs 3.48 crore.

On Day 2, as per the data of Sacnilk, Dhurandhar 2 is currently running across 11,664 shows and has collected a net of ₹32.2 Cr so far. This brings its total gross to ₹210.41 Cr and total net to ₹177.57 Cr so far, with final collections yet to be reported.

The film's momentum is further boosted by paid premiere shows worth Rs 43 crore, taking its total India earnings to Rs 143 crore on day one, signalling an explosive start for the franchise.

Despite crossing the coveted Rs 100 crore mark, the film falls just short of entering the top three biggest opening day earners in India, settling in fourth position. However, the figure is still significant enough to surpass the lifetime India collection of Ajith's "Vidamuyarchi" within a single day, underlining the scale of its debut.

Dhurandhar vs Pushpa 2: Still Behind the All-Time Leader

At the top of India's biggest opening day chart remains "Pushpa 2: The Rule", starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna. Directed by Sukumar, the film recorded an impressive Rs 164 crore India net on day one.

Even after including its Rs 43 crore premiere collections, "Dhurandhar: The Revenge" does not match this benchmark, highlighting the extraordinary scale set by the Telugu blockbuster.

"Pushpa 2" also dominates in lifetime numbers, earning Rs 1,234 crore in India and Rs 1,742 crore worldwide, placing it in a league far above most Indian releases.

Comparison With RRR, KGF And Kalki 2898 AD

Among other top performers, S.S. Rajamouli's "RRR", starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR, recorded Rs 133 crore on its opening day in India. The film went on to collect Rs 782 crore domestically and Rs 1,230 crore globally, cementing its legacy.

A major Kannada pan-India action film from the KGF franchise, starring Yash and directed by Prashanth Neel, posted Rs 116 crore on day one, finishing with Rs 860 crore in India and Rs 1,215 crore worldwide.

Meanwhile, "Kalki 2898 AD", featuring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Deepika Padukone, opened at Rs 95 crore in India. The sci-fi epic closed with Rs 646 crore domestically and around Rs 1,042 crore worldwide, making it one of the biggest recent hits.

Strong Growth For The Dhurandhar Franchise

The performance of "Dhurandhar: The Revenge" becomes even more notable when compared with its predecessor. The first "Dhurandhar" film, released in December last year, had opened at just Rs 28 crore in India.

The sequel's Rs 100.23 crore day-one figure marks nearly a fourfold jump, indicating a sharp rise in audience interest and stronger franchise pull.

While it may not have broken into the top three all-time openers, "Dhurandhar: The Revenge" has delivered one of the biggest debuts in Indian cinema, securing the fourth spot and outperforming several established titles.

With strong word of mouth and sustained momentum, the Ranveer Singh-led spy thriller is now well-positioned for a blockbuster theatrical run in the coming days.
