Bengaluru Cop Slaps Darshan Fan For Trying To Enter House - Watch Video

A fan of actor Darshan was slapped by a cop outside the actor's residence in Rajarajeshwari Nagar on Monday. It is reported that the fans was trying to enter the house of the jailed actor.

The incident, which was first reported by TV9, was held on Monday as the Kannada superstar turned 49 today.

Every year, the star's birthday sees a sea of fans. This time too was no different even though 'Challenging Star' lodged in Parappana Agrahara jail in connection with the Renuka Swamy murder case.

The police had erected barricades and deployed a heavy force as a precaution. The crowd, though thick with devotion, was mostly orderly-except for one fan who had clearly over-celebrated before arriving.

As per the report, in an inebriated state, the fan began creating a ruckus, adamantly demanding, "I will go inside Darshan's house." When requests from the khaki-clad officers fell on deaf ears, the situation escalated.

In the heat of the moment, the police officer slapped the unruly individual, finally bringing the situation under control.

On the other hand, the family marked the occasion with poignant tributes from a distance. Darshan's son, Vinish, melted hearts by sharing a throwback photo, captioning it, "Happy Birthday Dad. I love you. You are always my best friend." His wife, Vijayalakshmi, posted a cherished family picture with her husband and son, writing, "Happy birthday to the person who is celebrated every day," a message laced with the pain of his absence.

Across the city, the atmosphere was a stark contrast to previous years. Instead of the usual festival-like decorations at his home, the celebration shifted to the streets. Fans installed towering cutouts of their hero and cut cakes on the pavement. Some chose to mark the occasion by donating food and blood, channelling their admiration into social service.
