The passing of legendary singer Asha Bhosle has left the nation in deep mourning. A day after her demise, family members opened her residence in Mumbai for close friends, celebrities, and admirers to pay their final respects.

Several well-known personalities visited her home to honour her memory and support her grieving family.

Tabu, Sachin Tendulkar Among Those Who Paid Tribute

Actor Tabu and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, along with his wife Anjali Tendulkar, were among those who paid their respects.

Emotional scenes were witnessed as Tabu was seen consoling Asha Bhosle's granddaughter Zanai Bhosle, offering comfort during a difficult time.

Sachin Tendulkar and his wife also spent time with the family, sharing their condolences and remembering the legendary singer.

Other prominent names, including music composer A. R. Rahman and veteran actor Asha Parekh, also visited to pay tribute.

Asha Bhosle Honoured with the Tricolour

As a mark of respect, Asha Bhosle's mortal remains were draped in the Indian tricolour, symbolising her immense contribution to the nation.

Visuals from her residence showed her casket decorated with white flowers, while personnel paid tribute with full honours.

Funeral Details and Last Rites

The final respects are being held at her residence in Lower Parel, Mumbai, until the afternoon.

• Public viewing continued till 3:00 PM
• The funeral procession will move to Shivaji Park crematorium in Dadar
• Last rites are scheduled for 4:00 PM

A large number of people are expected to attend the funeral.

Asha Bhosle's Final Days

Asha Bhosle passed away on April 12 at the age of 92 at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai.

She had been admitted due to a chest infection and exhaustion, and later succumbed to multiple organ failure.
She is survived by her son Anand Bhosle and granddaughter Zanai, who have been receiving condolences from across the country.

Her Final Musical Chapter

Even in her final years, Asha Bhosle remained connected to music. She recorded her last song with British band Gorillaz, titled "The Shadowy Light."
The song also featured artists like Gruff Rhys, flautist Ajay Prasanna, and sarod players Amaan Ali Bangash and Ayaan Ali Bangash.

In one of her last social media posts, she described the song as deeply meaningful, reflecting her understanding of life after visiting Varanasi and the banks of the Ganges.
