Tamil Nadu Jobs: TRB to Release Assistant Professor Results for 43 Subjects Next Week

The Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) is poised to accelerate the recruitment process for government arts and science colleges. Following localized criticism over a staggered rollout, officials indicate that results for the remaining 43 subjects are likely to be released in a phased manner starting next week, DT Next reported.

The recruitment drive aims to fill over 2,700 Assistant Professor positions. While the board recently published results for five niche subjects-including Marine Biology and Indian Culture and Tourism-the vast majority of candidates remain in limbo.

The Evaluation Deadlock

A senior official from the Higher Education Department confirmed that the evaluation of answer scripts is currently "under way." Addressing concerns regarding the Model Code of Conduct due to the ongoing State Assembly elections, the official clarified that the code would not stall the announcement.

Concerns Over Seniority

The phased release has not been without controversy. V. Thangaraj, President of the Tamil Nadu All Government Colleges UGC Qualified Guest Lecturers' Association, expressed concerns that staggered appointment orders could unfairly impact the seniority of candidates.

The Association is calling for a unified timeline, suggesting that appointment orders for all successful candidates be issued on the same day to ensure a level playing field for future promotions and benefits.

Once the results are live, candidates can access their marks and the shortlist for certificate verification through the official TRB portal. Follow these steps:

Visit the Official Website: Go to trb.tn.gov.in.

Navigate to Results: On the homepage, look for the link titled "Recruitment of Assistant Professors in Government Arts and Science Colleges - Subject-wise Results."

Select Your Subject: A list of subjects will appear. Click on the specific subject you appeared for (e.g., English, Mathematics, etc.).

Login/View PDF: Depending on the board's release format, you may need to enter your Registration Number and Date of Birth, or simply download the PDF merit list.

Check Status: Look for your roll number in the list of candidates shortlisted for Certificate Verification (CV).

Download & Print: Save a digital copy and print your result for future reference during the interview stage.
