NBEMS Exam Calendar 2026 Released: Tentative Dates for Major Medical Exams

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences has released a tentative NBEMS exam calendar 2026, giving candidates an early indication of the schedule for major medical and pharmacy examinations planned between January and June 2026. The calendar was uploaded on the official website on December 29, 2025, and includes a wide range of diploma, fellowship, postgraduate, and pharmacy entrance examinations.

NBEMS has clarified that all dates mentioned in the exam calendar are provisional and subject to change. Final confirmations, along with detailed information bulletins and application schedules, will be issued separately through official notifications on natboard.edu.in.

According to the calendar, the NBEMS Diploma Final Examination for the December 2025 session is scheduled to be held from January 6 to January 8, 2026, in the afternoon session. This will be followed by the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) December 2025 session on January 17, 2026, which will be conducted in two shifts covering Paper I and Paper II.

The calendar also lists entrance examinations for dental and fellowship programmes. The FDST MDS 2025 examination is tentatively scheduled for February 21, 2026, while the FDST BDS 2025 exam is expected to take place on March 1, 2026. Pharmacy aspirants can note that GPAT 2026 is provisionally scheduled for March 7, 2026, to be held in a single morning shift.

For fellowship and post diploma candidates, the Fellowship Entrance Test (FET) 2026 is likely to be conducted on March 14, 2026, followed by the Post Diploma CET (PDCET) 2026 on April 12, 2026. The DrNB Final theory examinations for the April 2026 session are scheduled between April 24 and April 26, 2026.

Later in the cycle, the NBEMS Diploma Final Examination for the June 2026 session is expected to be held from May 14 to May 16, 2026, again in the afternoon session. The DNB Final examinations for June 2026 are tentatively planned between June 18 and June 21, 2026. The calendar concludes with the FMGE June 2026 session, which is scheduled for June 28, 2026, to be conducted in two shifts.

Notably, the NBEMS exam calendar 2026 does not include NEET PG 2026, which has raised questions among postgraduate aspirants. NBEMS has not provided any indication of the NEET PG schedule in this calendar, suggesting that the examination date will be announced separately by the competent authority through a dedicated notification.
