Gold & Silver Price In Chennai On Thursday Morning: Is It Cheaper Or Costlier On Feb 5?

Gold and silver prices in Tamil Nadu opened steady on Thursday, February 5, with both precious metals continuing to trade at elevated levels amid ongoing global economic uncertainty and sustained domestic demand.

According to the latest update issued at 7:10 AM on Bullions website, gold prices across all purity levels remain strong, while silver is holding firm above ₹2.70 lakh per kilogram.

Gold Price Today in Tamil Nadu

As per today's rates, 24 karat gold, considered the purest form of the yellow metal, is priced at ₹15,374 per gram in Tamil Nadu. The rate stands at ₹153,740 for 10 grams and ₹1,537,400 for 100 grams, while one kilogram of 24K gold costs ₹15,374,000. On the international measurement scale, one ounce of 24K gold is priced at ₹435,846, and one tola costs ₹179,319, the data said.

22 karat gold, widely used for jewellery making, is being sold at ₹14,093 per gram and ₹140,928 per 10 grams. The price of 100 grams of 22K gold stands at ₹1,409,283, while one kilogram costs ₹14,092,833. One tola of 22K gold is currently priced at ₹164,376.

Lower-purity gold variants have also remained stable. 20 karat gold is priced at ₹12,812 per gram, 18 karat gold at ₹11,531 per gram, and 16 karat gold at ₹10,249 per gram. Meanwhile, 14 karat, 12 karat, and 10 karat gold are available at ₹8,968, ₹7,687, and ₹6,406 per gram, respectively, making them popular options for lightweight and budget-friendly jewellery purchases.

Silver Rate Today in Tamil Nadu

Silver prices in Tamil Nadu are also holding firm. 999 fine silver, the purest form used for investment and industrial purposes, is priced at ₹272 per gram. The rate stands at ₹27,177 for 100 grams and ₹271,770 per kilogram, while one ounce of silver costs ₹7,705 and one tola is priced at ₹3,170, the data added.

925 sterling silver, commonly used in ornaments and accessories, is trading at ₹251 per gram, while 900 coin silver is priced at ₹245 per gram. 800 German silver is available at ₹217 per gram, catering to decorative and utility demand.

As per the latest data, the price of 24 karat gold is ₹153,740 per 10 grams, while 999 fine silver is priced at ₹271,770 per kilogram in Tamil Nadu. Market experts note that precious metal prices are being influenced by global cues, currency fluctuations, and ongoing demand from the jewellery and investment segments.
