Vijayalakshmi Darshan Pens Emotional Note After Watching The Devil: Says Fans’ Love ‘Felt Overwhelming’

Actor Darshan remains in jail, but his latest film The Devil has released to packed theatres across Karnataka, driven largely by the support of his fans, friends and family. Darshan's wife Vijayalakshmi Darshan watched the film with fans and later shared an emotional note on social media, expressing gratitude and describing the experience as overwhelming.

Vijayalakshmi wrote that her heart was "filled with joy" the moment she stepped out of the theatre. She praised director Prakash for his vision, storytelling and control over every frame. She added that the camerawork and the efforts of the technical team made the film "shine like a true cinema festival."

She also appreciated Rachana Rai's performance, calling her "cute on screen and like the girl next door," and said her natural charm made her stand out. "Her performance is so beautiful that I believe her future journey will be very bright," she said. Vijayalakshmi mentioned Sharmila Mandre as well, noting that although her role is small, she captured attention with her screen presence and elegance.

Commenting on the writing, she said the story "never let go of the handle from the beginning to the end," and praised how the director handled the twists between the two main characters. She noted that the sincerity of every artist and technician was visible in each scene.

However, her most heartfelt words were reserved for Darshan. "I cannot put into words what I felt while watching him," she wrote. She described his expressions, acting, comic timing and screen presence as "pure magic." According to her, Darshan carried both roles beautifully, giving fans an unforgettable experience in the cinema hall.

What moved her the most, though, was the reaction of fans. "Your craze, your shouts, your applause, the love you showed for Darshan... I had to hold back my emotions when I saw it," Vijayalakshmi wrote. She promised to convey this love to Darshan and expressed hope that he would soon witness this affection himself.

She ended her note by thanking celebrities, film stars and well-wishers who stood by The Devil and helped make the day special for the entire team.
